Alma Hand-Painted Copal Wood Earrings

Our Copal Wood earrings originate from San Martín Tilcajete in Oaxaca Mexico. As a traditionally indigenous city the process of making copal earrings comes to no surprise. Our talented artisans create and carve intricate shares out of the copal wood then set out to dry for multiple days (weather permitting). Sprinkles of gasoline oil are added to the wood to help the process. Once dried the artisans begin to creatively paint and craft our most desirable earrings. The copal earrings are lightweight but filled with generations of tradition. These earrings make the perfect accessory to complete any outfit.
